📣 Saturday 27th April
In-hand Schooling with Tash Smith at Usk College
We all know how important correct schooling is for our horses, but have you ever tried schooling from the ground? In-hand schooling allows you to do exactly that in a fun and interesting way. In-hand schooling has many benefits. It enables you to see exactly what is going on and helps develop better “feel”, teach lateral work and new exercises without the weight of a rider first and helps horses with balance, suppleness, flexibility and self carriage. It is easy to highlight issues and very precisely help our horses to use their bodies in a more correct way. It's great fun, very interesting and is great for everyone of any ability and level!
Tash Smith is a classical instructor and Enlightened Equitation Teacher, following French classical principles of balance before movement. In-hand work is an integral part of training our horses to be supple, capable and sound in their work. If you are struggling with bend, balance, self carriage or lateral work in general and want to have an enjoyable session with your horse, learning how they move, how to improve them and what to look for, then an In-hand session is for you.
Groups of 2. Members £32.50pp non members welcome if spaces allow £40pp
